Prospective students may undergo testing in reading and math to determine if our school will best meet their needs.

Registration occurs in late January each year. A child should have attained the age of five years on or before August 1 of that year to be eligible to enter kindergarten.

Classes are filled on a first come-first served basis. Current SPCS students will be allowed to register during the week prior to Catholic Schools Week. Once registration opens to new students (typically on the first Sunday of Catholic Schools Week), preference is as follows:

  • Siblings of current families
  • Graduates of Tiny Tim’s Preschool
  • Contributing members of Saint Paul Parish
  • All others

Transferring Students
Whenever a student enrolls at Saint Paul from another school, he or she will be placed on probation for a period of six weeks. During that time, we will monitor the student and report to the parents how the student is adjusting to our school. At the end of the six-week probationary period, the teacher and principal will meet to assess the academic performance and behavior of the child and decide if the student’s needs can be adequately met at our school. The teacher will then contact the parents to discuss how the child has progressed over the course of the probationary period and whether or not the child can remain a student at Saint Paul Catholic School.

Admissions Policy
No student will be excluded from enrolling solely because of race, color, sex, national origin or ancestry. All children must meet the immunization requirements established by the State of Indiana. No child may enter our school owing an outstanding financial bill from the previous school year either from another Catholic school or our own school.
